Hi there, anyone found a way to ensure you can see your presets in all your VST plugins - In some cases I see the presets and in many others like some UAD plugins, DRMS stereo enhancer plugin and Elysia Mpressor I am unable to see the presets. Is this purely because these developers are not fully supported by Fairlight or is there something I am missing?

By the way does the new version of Dream II support VST 3.0 or still only VST 2.4?

Thanks
Craig.

I have just discovered in my Cubase SX 3 that the Mpressor does not have any presets... so in reality my issue only relates to the DRMS and one or two UAD plugins...

Further update - I also cannot save any preset for the DRMS nor for the Elysia Mpressor in the Fairlight system... Any ideas?

Yes I have a load of questions ... and here is another one ... how to you use Plugins that provide a side chain in Dream II? Other DAW's have the possibility to to select the audio channel that will act as the side chain by for the life of me I cannot find how to do this in my Xynergi system?

Looking forward to some informed replies.

Cheers

Hi Coffeeman.

On the Fairlight, the presets can be saved and loaded via the Plug-ins tab on the Library page. The internal plug-in presets are left for the plug-in itself to implement I'm afraid.

Not sure about these specific ones - I'll have a play & see what might be missing. Which 2 UAD plug-ins?

We're still VST2.4 I'm afraid. There are benefits in 3.0 (such as the mentioned Sidechain support), so it's something we're interested in pursuing.

Thanks for the info and hopefully we can get the guys from Elysia and DRMS on side... Coming back to the UAD plug ins it seems the problem is related to the fact that for some plug ins the preset is in .fxb format . In other words a bank of presets instead of individual .fxp presets and this is where the challenge comes... but to be honest I only use very few of these plugins and those that I do can be set by ear. My main challenge is the DRMS and the Elysia Mpressor because these are plugins that can be put to great musical use if I could start from a specific base. Fortunately I now have a SX-48 so I can use a lot more of my hardware as inserts seeing as I mix in the box...

All the best.
Craig.
