Hi,
I'm working at a facility that has a Pyxis and is looking at getting more but has a couple of problems with the ADR system. Firstly, the visual cues are to small and hit in the middle - often exactly where the actor's face/mouth is. With the Colin Broad streamers which are commonly used in the UK the cue is a travelling full-height vertical line meeting a static one on the right of screen, you can easily see it even out of the corner of your eye and it's out of the way of the lips you're probably looking at syncing against. The second issue may be harder to solve: often in a long sentence/paragraph there will be sub-cues/re-cues to help the actor pace the dialogue. These re-cues may start countdown before the previous cue has actually triggered. On the Colin Broad you can have two bars travelling across the screen one closely following the other, on Pyxis you can't.
If you could address these issues more places in the UK would look at the system for ADR - it otherwise works well.
Thanks,
Pete
